STRUCTURE
BTX’s dynamic capital structure and market presence is leveraged to pursue an aggressive but responsible M&A agenda. Generally, acquired entities are positioned within the BTX system as stand-alone “Business Units”, giving them access to BTX shared services and infrastructure, but allowing them to stay focused on their core historical charge.
The BTX integration model is specifically designed to preserve all the character traits which have historically made an acquired entity great, but simultaneously offer the opportunity to serve on an even bigger scale. Through this integration and business model, BTX is able to offer continuity at the Business Unit level, and an aggregate value proposition at the platform level that is highly distinguishable in the marketplace.
LEADERSHIP
BTX is led by Rick McIntyre as Group CEO. Rick comes to the organization having previously served in various leadership roles, most recently and notably as the CEO of GWS Tool Group from 2017 – 2023. GWS Tool Group is a US based, vertically integrated manufacturer of cutting tools, used by premier precision manufacturers across virtually all industrial end markets.
Rick holds degrees from Furman University (BA), Marylhurst University (MBA) and Barry University (JD). Before entering the private sector, Rick served as a United States Army officer for several years where he earned various awards and commendations.
